From Homelessness to Death: Help Save Dash

Chained to a tree, Dash awaits his fate.

Chained to a tree, Dash awaits his fate.

Dash is incredibly sweet and adorable. You can walk right up to him, as a perfect stranger, and he shows instant affection. He is currently chained to a tree where he endures the heat of the Florida sun and the torrential downpours that are common to the area.

Dash and his owner, Trish, would be homeless were it not for the kindness of Mike Jaggers who has welcomed them into his home in Brooksville, Florida. Unfortunately for Dash, Jaggers has two dogs in his home that do not accept Dash with arm wide open. According to Trish, Dash gets along with children, adults and most animals but does not tolerate aggression from other canines and that is exactly how Dash was greeted [with aggression] by Jaggers’ dogs. I personally witnessed, however, how Dash and his outdoor cat friend showed affection to each other.

Dash has until the 12th of this month to find a new home or he will be brought to a shelter where he will most likely be put down. Trish will be moving into her new home then but cannot afford the $200 pet fee. Furthermore, she works a lot and will not have the time needed to commit to his needs.

If you are in any position to help provide a home for Dash, please contact Blythe or me at (816) 399-3829 before time runs out.
